Great place to visit plenty of history to see
Lots of steam train pieces to see from parts under repair to while steam engines undergoing heavy repair. Goods to wander around by yourself. If the gobsmacked hadn't cut off access to the rail network from both sides there would be working rolling stock here to experience. Government needs to encourage attractions like this in small town, not hinder them
Had a great time wandering around by myself, lots to see and photograph. Had tried to find out 5 years ago but it s better signposted this time. Pity the government has closed the lines either side and so their working stock has to be stored elsewhere. Doesn't the government know that country towns need help to get tourists in to support the economy not hindrance. It's not about making a profit this year or next but to provide for the future.
up close and accessable historical experience, that is un glossed and shows the raw beauty of train carriages and engines.
Great place to visit. Amazing history. Wish we had more time. Our smaller children loved the walk through carriages as did we. We loved it.
